Just kidding - regardless, once I had time to actually sit down, update my blog and look at everyone elses to even see that I have been tagged, I would have happily done this fun tag - however, I am at work and I only have recent pictures here...so Ill take what I can get...

California!!!

Last week we went to Oceanside California for the annual Van Wagoner family trip. We had so much fun and we were so bummed when we had to leave. Casey's parents rented oceanside condos for each of the families and ours literally walked right out to the beach it was rad.
Monday we headed out and went to Disneyland and California Adventures. I had never been to either one so I was super excited. Casey and I kind of went off and did our own thing and rode EVERY ride in both parks (that intrigued us, of course). Tower of Terror was by far our favorite ride - we rode this one twice! The second time we rode it this little indian family was in the row behind us and their kid couldnt have been older than 3. I couldnt help but wonder his reaction to this ride would be and as soon as it ended I turned around to see his face and he seriously was in shock and clinged to his mothers arm. She was like shaking him asking him if he was breahthing - he was, but it was totally entertaining! Tough kid!
Dont worry that on the Indiana Jones ride, I left my camera in the pouch on the ride and we couldnt find it - so none of my pictures this day, will be posted!
Anyway, on Tuesday we went to the San Diego Zoo with our parents and Corey, Alisha and Matix. It was a super cool zoo and the monkeys were a riot.
On Wednesday we spent the entire day at the beach boogie bording and just hanging out. I LOVE the ocean! It is so beautiful and peaceful. We ended the night by going to Joes Crab Shack hanging over the ocean - like always, it was delicious!
Thursday morning before we took off to the airport we went to mom's condo for yet another great breakfast and watched the dophins. Seriously, every morning we saw dolphins and seals from our decks. It was so cool. Thursday morning there was a surfer out and the dolphins were literally swimming under and around him it was neat. I was totally jealous of him!
Thanks Pam and Kendall for the fun trip, we had a blast!
This picture was taken outside our condo~ notice the ocean and the amazing sunset in the background? So pretty!

Rail Jam 2008!!!

Have I mentioned that I have the coolest husband EVER lately??? Well, if I havent - he is. Last weekend we went to the Rail Jam and Casey and his buddies hit the rails quite a few times.
For those of you who dont know what the Rail Jam is, Ski n See holds this event once a year in their parking lot. It is sponsered by DNA and the last 3 hours of the event is a competition where the winner wins $1000 and goes on to the Nation Competition in Vegas to compete for a sponsership with DNA.
Anyway, so that is where we spent last Saturday. I was a little worried about those we went with as EVERY single one of the hit hard their first time down...but they quickly redeemed themselves and I got quite the show!!!
It costs $100 to do the actual competition so Casey didnt want to do it, but he did a great job.
Here is Casey getting ready to go...

I know, I know - those of you who have been pestering me to post something new are so proud that I have successfully posted two days in a row! WooHoo for me!
The month started out with the Van Wagoner cookout up American Fork Canyon

...we all made tin foil dinners and through them in the fire-pit for a yummy dinner! I must admit, that our dinner really wasnt that fantastic as it was the first time I had made one - but hey, at least I did it.

My most favorit part was roasting the mallows! One of my most favorite things EVER!!!

Here is Casey and cute Matix.

Little Kendyll is such a doll - I went and took the Catmulls family pictures last night and have NEVER heard her talk that much - it was so sweet. And, she even calls me "Shell"

Summer Lovin Had Us A Blast...

What happened to July? My idea of summer all happens in the month of July - and boy, did it happen all to fast.
So, here are a couple things of what Casey and I did last month...
First off, we have been renting a townhome in Draper for the last 9 months and actually really enjoyed it there. Besides the fact that it was only a 1 bedroom townhome and a little too small for the "entertaining" that Casey and I enjoy doing - we loved it. But at the beginning of the month -- we closed on our new home and moved in. We have been looking for a house that we both LOVED since before we got married, but we finally found it!

Isnt it cute? The inside is almost finished being decorated, so I will post some more pics when it is. Just as a side note - Jenn's husband was our realtor and did an awesome job, so if anyone needs a trustworthy and fantastic realtor let me know!!!
One of our very favorite things to do is spend our weekends out on the lake. With Casey's job, he gets to take out these super expensive boats and we just have a blast with friends and family. I think it is safe to say that we successfully made it to the lake at least once a week but usually twice. It was so much fun and we all had a great time.
This is Casey spinning on his board - I have such an athletic husband who can do the coolest things. Not to mention his sweet flips that he wowed my parents with...

FIREWORKS!!! The 4th of July is by far my most favorite holiday. I love the fireworks, the sound they make and the smell they put off. I honestly just love the whole atmosphere that comes with it.

For the 4th of July, Casey and I went to the BUZZ game with my good friends Laurie and Jenn and their husbands. Us girls had a good time for sure - there is nothing better than a ballpark hotdog and a snowcone. Not to mention...They had killer fireworks after the game - SWEET!

Laurie and I.

For the 24th of July the Van Wagoner family all got together at my sister n' law Stacy's house. They have this huge blow up waterslide that the kids love...and that Casey and Corey love too! Casey cant wait to have one of his own one day (just kidding babe!) But Casey loves taking the little ones down the slide that are scared to go by themselves. It really is cute. I have the funniset picture of Casey and Corey (Casey's older brother) in the pool area at the bottom of the slide just laughing histerically at each other - but I think they would both kill me for posting it.

Casey and Corey...I swear this whole post really is about them...Had a game of add on on the tramp and little Bode was so cute watching them, everytime they did a flip he would get really really excited and start waving his hands all over the place and end it with the sweetest smile. It was too cute.

After the water games we had a yummy BBQ and headed across the street to have a softball game. For some reason Casey and I always get put on seperate teams and I have to be one of the most competitive people ever...so of course my team won!!! Just kidding! But we did.
Here we are - the picture didnt turn out so great. And then the other team - check out Corey's face Alisha gave him a good one!

Oh, and it was my birthday on the 17th. I got a coffee table and a sofa table (I know so exciting, but it is what I wanted) Then we headed off to Mulligans to play some miniture golf with Dave and Cristie. - You still owe us candy by the way! Then ended it with Coldstone!
Well there are a couple things we did in July!

Our 11 day tour through Europe!

So, I have been a total slacker getting my pictures uploaded from our trip to Europe. Casey and I are in the process of moving and all my stuff is packed up. So, I am using my sister in law's pics for now. Once I get mine uploaded I'll put tons more up. But for now, Ill just tell you what all we did.
We flew in to Rome - (mine and Casey's favorite stop). Our hotel was a block down from the Vatican and St. Peter's Square and the Basilica - it was beautiful.

The vatican was awesome! These pics dont do it justice. But the paintings and arcitecture was to die for.

The Sistine Chapel was Beautiful! We learned so many cool stories about Michelangelo and his paintings. Did you know he wasnt even a painter? He was commanded by the Pope to do all those paintings! What a gift he had. When we first walked in to the Vatican Museums, we quickly noticed that all of the male statues were missing there "male parts" we later learned, that one of the later Pope's servants was offened by so many nude statues that the Pope ordered for them to be either covered by fig leaves or chopped up. Those that were chopped off got tossed into a basket that, that Pope placed somewhere - and now, can not be found. Wont that be an interesting find for someone later on. "Honey! Look what I found, a basket of Penis's!" Sorry, couldnt resist myself.
Anyway, some of you already know a lot of the other cool stuff we found out, but if anyone else wants to know - I am happy to share! Here is a picture of the top of the Basilica.

Sterling and Deanna missed their flight to Rome on Sunday, so they missed out on the Colosseum and the Roman Forum where Roman Legions marched in triumph. So pictures are to come on that. We LOVED the Colosseum and the Forum and have some awesome pictures of it.
Now we are off to Florence! We did a tour (which I highly recommened) and traveled to each new country by bus (which I loved). The scenery was divine!

Florence was our least favorite place. But the statue of David by Michelangelo put Casey and I in awe. You werent allowed to take pictures, but I have to share something cool... Back then, you werent allowed to to do biopsy's on dead bodies, so, Michelangelo and Leonardo Divinci actually dug up bodies to study them and use what they learned for their art. The statue of David is capturing the moment right before his big battle with Goliath. You can see EVERY muscle and vain with exactness! it was amazing. We also saw in Florence, St. Mary's Cathedral, Giotto's Bell Tower, the Baptistry's heavy bronze "Gate of Paradise" and the sculpture studded Signoria Square (pictures to come). Florence is known for their leathers goods and gold jewelry, so it was fun to look at that.
Off to Venice... Here we are in our boat in Venice that took us around to all the diff islands.

So we totally entered in style by a private boat to St. Marks Square where we saw the Byzantine Basilica, the Clock Tower, lavish Doge's Palace and the Bridge of Sighs.

We watched Glassblowers fashion their delicate objects (a vase and then a horse) the horse seriously took him 45 seconds to make and it would cost you $47 euros to buy (thats almost $80 US dollars). Then we took a romantic gondola ride (once again, pictures to come!).
Off to Switzerland!
Our stop in Switzerland was Lucern, but we stopped for lunch in Lake Lugano. If I could live anywhere - this is where I would choose! Loved it here!

After we left Lugano, we made an unexpected stop to catch some views
Here we are enjoying it...

That night in Lucerne, we went to a dinner folklore party with yodeling and alphorn blowing. Casey was chosen to go up on stage to blow the alphorn, and Sterling (my brother) was chosen for the yodeling contest. They both did great and gave us a great laugh!!
And we got Fondue!

The next day we stayed in Lucerne we went up the mountain 6,935 feet high at St. Gotthard Pass. That was a site - cant wait for you to see more pics of that!

Off to Paris...
The first night we were in Paris, we went for a quick tour and made a final stop at the Eiffel Tower, where we got to see it light up. I was so excited for the Eiffel Tower! Did you know that when the Eiffel Tower was built the people there thought it was an eye sore and demanded it was taken down? Glad they didnt win!

In Paris, I think we saw pretty much everything - but, to name a few...The Arc de Triamphe, Champs-Elysees, Notre Dame Cathedral, and more.

We even walked half way down the Eiffel Tower

And saw the original Mona Lisa,

Off to London by the Eurostar!
Our first night in London was so fun! We ate amazingly the whole trip - here are a few picks (it was so dang good!)My appetizer & Deseret

Our Resturant was right outside Buckingham Palace.

Dont you worry...this guard totally cracked a smile at Deanna and I - and talked from the outside of his lip - GET COOLER!!!
The next day, Deanna and Sterling were leaving, so we ended their trip by going to the Phantom of the Opera! It was great!

Other things we saw in London were, Knightsbridge with arrods, the House of Parliment and Big Ben and the London Eye - the largest ferris wheel in the world - lining the River Thames, Westminister Abbey, Whitehall's mounted horseguards and the Prime Minister's Downing Street. Also, St. Pauls Cathedral and the ceremonial pageantry of the Changing of the Guard, we even saw the Queen's car! Then we went to Windsor Castle and even saw the queens dollhouse! It had electricity and plumbing - what the? Spoiled!
We ended our trip with a cruise down the River Thames starting under the Tower Bridge seeing many well known landmarks and a four-corse dinner! It was so much fun and by far - one of the best trips EVER! Not to mention, I got to see my dad!
I must say - if you are still reading this, what a great friend you are!
