His nursery & we are 40 weeks today!

Well, apparently our baby isn't quite ready to make his grand appearance. I am officially 40 weeks today. Going 8 months with the date of "July 24th" in your head - and then that day comes and you still don't have your baby, well...we think it is a little frustrating. But that's okay.
We went to the Doctor again on Thursday and I was dilated to a "1+" - whoa! HeHe.
However, we know that this little guy will be here by Friday per Doctors orders.
Even though we REALLY want this boy here, I feel extremely blessed that we have carried him as long as we have. We had a scare at 34 weeks because of my blood pressure, swelling and water retention - The doctor told me that we will probably have to deliver the baby Monday because of my blood pressure. Casey put me on strict couch rest and I didn't do a thing all weekend. It worked. So here we are.
The nursery has been done for quite some time and I cant believe how many things we already have for him. The brick wall isn't done yet - we are adding one thing to it (which I am not telling you what it is yet) but Casey painted the wall, and I am totally impressed. What do you think???

As for me - I absolutely LOVE being pregnant. I think it is the most AMAZING thing I have ever experienced. I actually think I will miss it. However, I have gained a whooping 59 pounds - so don't think I haven't had it that rough. My doc says he thinks a lot of it is water, which I am hoping he is right. But every pound, the restless nights, being uncomfortable and extremely hot all the time is totally worth it. And the payoff is coming soon.
Today...

I do have to throw in...that my husband is absolutely amazing. He rubs my feet every night and has cooked almost every meal the last 2 weeks and hasn't even complained. I love him!

What a fun nursery! I've been thinking about you a lot lately because I knew that little boy was going to be here pretty soon. I know how disappointing it is to go past your due date, but don't fret. He'll be here soon enough. You still look FABULOUS and stylish as ever (of course- no surprise there). I'm way impressed with Casey's wall- what hard work! Good luck with delivery. I can't wait to see him!!!!!

I stumbled across your blog today while hitting the little "next blog" button at the top of my blogger homepage!

40 weeks...wow! I never got anywhere close to 40 weeks with my kiddos, 36 weeks for my son and 29 weeks for my girls...so have no clue how you are feeling right now! I love your nursery and know that you cannot wait to have that little bundle of joy rocking away in your arms in it!

I'm your newest follower & cannot wait to see you new little one in just a few days I' sure!

I too went over with Tyler. It seemed like the days lasted for weeks! His nursery is awesome. What a lucky little man. I cannot wait to see him and hear about labor/delivery/and your sweet little baby. You do not look like you've gained 59 pounds. You look so cute!

Maybe it's just because I used to teach in the barrio, but I think your brick wall is missing some sweet graffiti or tagging. I know some pretty good taggers I could hook you up with! ;) You look awesome! 40 weeks!! I'm jealous. I hit 37 today and I'm already crafting my arguments for my doc to induce me early! I can't wait to *meet* baby boy!

Rachelle,

You look absolutely beautiful! Casey did a great job on the nursery wall. I'm sure you're anxious and facing even one more day on the couch must be frustrating. We're praying for you all and a safe healthy delivery for your little one!

Love you lots,
Aunt Patti

Do tell us how you made the bookshelves?

The wall looks awesome- as do you.

I will not go into being upset with you for not telling me about your BP. Is it still up? Are you swelling a ton? Did they do a 24 hour protein if it is still up? Perhaps I should email you. Once I finally started peeing after Maddox's pregnancy I lost 30 pounds in 2 days... and then lots more over the next few days. I hope the same for you!

Oh- I am really not upset with you. ;) Probably best you didn't tell me. I would have freaked myself out- and probably you... I am a bit nervous about BP's in pregnancy.
